Moto Foundation has been supporting Mind, the leading mental health charity across England and Wales, and SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health), the leading mental health charity in Scotland, since July 2022.
Mind is here to fight for mental health across England and Wales. Their helplines, online information and peer support services offer advice to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
SAMH provide person centred mental health services and support across Scotland which are based on the ethos of recovery. These services include social care support, homelessness, addiction and employment services, among many others. SAMH also provide accessible information and campaign nationally.
The partnership will run for five years, enabling Moto Foundation to support Mind and SAMH in changing the way we think and speak about mental health problems. The Trust aims to fundraise £1.25 million during the partnership and raise mental health awareness among both our colleagues and customers.
Community partners
By adopting local community partners the Moto Foundation aims to make a real difference to the communities around Moto’s locations.
Mind
Even though 1 in 4 people have mental health problems, most of us don’t get the help we need. This has to change.
That’s why the Moto Foundation is supporting Mind. Mind is here to fight for mental health. They campaign to change minds by working hard to hold the people in power to account – pushing for better care and services. Mind are there to offer information and support for anyone who needs it – on their website, through their online Side by Side community and through the helplines that they run. With a network of over 100 local Minds spread across both England and Wales, tailored, quality mental health services and support is available for anyone that needs it within their community.
Mind won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect.

SAMH
Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) believe that we all have mental health, irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status. Mental health can have the most profound impact on our relationships, our work, our wellbeing, and quality of life. Societal stigma and discrimination against people with mental health problems remains a major barrier to inclusion. There should be no barriers in place for people to seek help or recover.
SAMH want a kinder, fairer society which provides better, timely support for everyone with mental health problems, regardless of past or present circumstances.
SAMH is Scotland’s mental health charity. They have championed the mental health cause for the people of Scotland for almost a century. They are a national charity with service delivery in the community, covering 70% of Scottish Local Authority areas.
