Creating Safe Spaces
Creating safe spaces at work for both colleagues and customers is crucial for fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. For colleagues, safe spaces contribute to mental and emotional well-being, boosting morale, collaboration, and productivity. For customers, these spaces ensure that everyone, including those with disabilities or other needs, can access services comfortably and confidently. As part of sustainability practices, prioritising safe spaces aligns with social responsibility, showing a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Changing Places Toilets
In our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, we proudly provide over 30 Changing Places toilets across our network part-funded by the Department for Transport. These facilities offer essential amenities for individuals with complex disabilities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a comfortable and dignified experience when visiting our locations. By prioritising accessibility, we are not only enhancing the quality of life for our customers but also fostering a more inclusive community for all.
Hidden Disabilities Sunflower
As proud members of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower initiative, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for individuals with invisible disabilities. We recognise our customers and colleagues who voluntarily wear a sunflower lanyard, signalling their need for additional support or understanding during their visits. By fostering awareness and empathy, we strive to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and accommodated, reinforcing our commitment to accessibility and respect for all members of our community.
Giving Back
Giving back is one of Moto’s core value that drives our business in every aspect, reflecting our commitment to making a positive impact on the communities we serve. Whether through supporting local initiatives, engaging in charitable partnerships, or empowering our colleagues to volunteer, we believe in contributing to the greater good. In 2024, we celebrated raising £10 million through charitable activities for our partners and our wider communities.
Moto Foundation
The Moto Foundation is the charitable arm of Moto Hospitality which supports our National Charity partnerships – MIND & SAMH, Community partners and adopted schools through fundraising with colleagues. We have raised over £10 million for good causes since 2005, given over 1,100 community grants to local charities and delivered over 235,000 books to our adopted schools around the country.
