This May Moto moved mountains for mental health and raised £49,819 for charity partners Mind & SAMH!
The Welsh 3 Peaks Challenge
21 colleagues from across the business took on 3 of the toughest climbs in Wales, completing the peaks in just over 12 hours. They have also raised a huge £23,643 to date.
The team conquered Pen y Fan in the south, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales and summited Snowdon at sunrise to complete the challenge. They hiked over 17 miles and ascended a total of 7,657 feet. Toenails and senses of humour were lost but the hikers were sustained by fantastic weather and views, home-made soup and plentiful sweets along the way. Everyone had their own motivations for completing the challenge as well, as one of the team explains:
“A few years ago I lost one of my best friends to suicide and it really taught me the importance of mental health and being open with people about how you feel. When I saw that Moto were partnering with Mind I was excited to be able to help this amazing charity and hopefully prevent anyone having to go through something like this.”

Site fundraising
Moto site teams came together to support the Welsh 3 Peaks team and raised a wonderful £26,176 with our customers. A huge thank you from Mind, SAMH and Moto Foundation for the support, energy and enthusiasm our colleagues bring to their fundraising, and to Moto customers for giving so generously.
£50,000 could cover the cost of a Mind Infoline Advisor for nearly two years. Infoline (0300 123 3393) is open from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday (excl. bank holidays), with advisors answering calls on mental health problems, where to get help, treatment options, welfare benefits and advocacy services.
Moto Foundation began its’ partnership with Mind and SAMH in July 2022 and is committed to raising mental health awareness with our colleagues, customers and suppliers, as well as at least £1.25 million in funds by 2027.
