In case you missed it, our Chief Executive Ken McMeikan has been featured in the Financial Times talking about the rise of EV driving in the UK, the impact it’s had on retail and food brands on the motorway and how Moto is responding to the EV revolution following the opening of our flagship site, Moto Rugby (M6 J1) in 2021, which is home to 24 high-speed electric vehicle charging points.
It’s no secret that leading the charge for EV on the motorway is on our agenda – we predict that by 2030 around 3 in 10 drivers will be turning into a motorway service station in an electric vehicle. That’s why we want to make mid and long-distance EV driving easier and more convenient by partnering with the bright sparks at Gridserve Electric Highway and Tesla to bring faster charging, from more chargers to more locations, across the UK, helping more drivers get from A to B.
We are working hard on improving our EV provision – keep your eyes peeled throughout 2022 for more updates and news.
