An 8 strong team from the Burton site undertook a mammoth challenge earlier this month, completing the Born Survivor course in aid of their community partner Unique Kidz and Co.

Held in the Lake District, Born Survivor is one of the most varied and muddy obstacle events in the UK, featuring 30 obstacles over a hilly 10 kilometre course in the grounds of Lowther Castle.
The team made up of Jason Vance, Luke Stephenson, Callum Jackson, Matthew Doey, Stephen McMinn, Ben Sharpe, Chloe Gilbert and Laura Hayton completed the course in a time of under 2 hours but most importantly raised over £1000.

Unique Kidz and Co. is the only OFSTED registered childcare service for disabled children and their families in the North Lancashire and South Cumbria area offering play, social and support activities to over 130 children. The charity plan to use the hard earned funds to provide activities and new resources for the children and young adults who attend their centre in Morecambe. Spokesperson Denise Armer said: “We are really grateful to all the team from Moto who took part in Born Survivor and all their friends, family and colleagues who sponsored them, we want to say a huge thank you and well done!”

Jason Vance Area General Manager of Burton-in-Kendal who led the team said:“We knew the Born Survivor course would be challenging and it certainly was! The course included wading through mud, scaling huge walls, and scampering through tunnels, but it was an amazing day and we were very proud and relieved to cross the finishing line.”
