We are proud to announce that Moto are part of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network.
This means we will be providing ongoing training to all our colleagues and making Motos everywhere more inclusive for people living with a non-visible disability for colleagues and customers.
Ken McMeikan, Moto Hospitality Chief Executive Officer shared –
“I am thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Moto, as we are officially live in supporting Hidden Disabilities, Sunflower.
We are so proud to support the Sunflower as this aligns perfectly with our commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace for our colleagues and customers. By proudly displaying the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower we are sending a clear message that we value and support individuals with invisible disabilities and that our spaces are welcoming and accessible to all.
As we embark on this journey let’s continue to foster an environment of understanding empathy and support for our colleagues and customers, and welcome a future where everyone feels seen, heard and included as we continue our journey to help invisible disabilities become visible.“
What is the Sunflower?
In the UK there are 14 million people who have a disability (which is around 1 in 5 people) of which 80% of those are invisible.
An invisible disability is an umbrella term that captures a wide range of physical, mental or neurological conditions that are not visible to others but can limit or challenge a person’s movements, senses or activities. (This includes hearing and vision impairments, mental health disorders, diabetes and many more).Â
