With more EVs on UK roads than ever before, Moto continues to work hard on improving EV infrastructure on the motorway and making more EV chargers available. We installed 260 new charging bays in 2024, with 68 installed in December alone. 2024 also marked the year where we hit our 1000th EV bay across the network, which is a significant milestone in our mission to transform the UK’s rest-stop experience.
We’ve hit the ground running in 2025 and have already installed 36 new charging bays across our network. You can find them at the following sites:
- Sawtry (6 Gridserve Chargers installed)
- Toddington Northbound: (6 Gridserve Chargers installed)
- Toddington Southbound: (12 Gridserve Chargers installed)
- Hilton Park Southbound: (12 Gridserve Chargers installed)
As the shift toward EVs continue, we’re proud to offer even more charging bays across the UK and are committed to future-proofing our sites. With contactless payment systems and high-power charging and ultra rapid charging being rolled out across sites, we’re ensuring that EV drivers can charge their car reliably, without the worry of running out of juice. And if you’d like to grab a coffee while you wait, you’re in the right place for it! With Pret and Costa on your doorstep, you can fill up whilst you charge up.
We are proud of our progress, and we have more announcements planned for the rest of 2025, with even more EV charger installations planned across our network. We’re working to ensure our sites remain at the forefront of innovation, speed, and sustainability. By investing in EV charging, we’re helping to shape a future where sustainable travel is not only possible—but expected. Stay tuned, as we continue to lead the charge on the UK motorway network.
