Moto in the Community Trust was celebrating this week, when it was revealed that over £1 million was raised for charity partners in 2019.
A combination of hard work, generosity and a variety of activity throughout the year involving all Moto sites, our colleagues and suppliers contributed to the total. Highlights included £90,000 raised by the Easter fundraiser, £79,000 achieved through the summer fundraiser and the Big Battlefield Bike Ride team who cycled 350 miles in 5 days to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings and raised £38,000.
This brings the grand total of funds raised since the MITC trust was formed to over £6.5 million , well on our way to the new overall £10 million target set this time last year.
These latest funds will be split between our national charity partner Help for Heroes, over 100 local community grants, and further projects with the Woodland Trust and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
