Moto sites across the country raised £9,100 for Help for Heroes on Armed Forces Day, 26th June!
This was the first on-site fundraiser for Moto in the Community’s (MITC) national charity partner in nearly two years. It was also the first time that MITC was able to divert all Pennies micro-donations on card payment terminals to Help for Heroes.
MITC Chair Steve Masters said, “Thank you so much to all who took part in the Armed Forces Day fundraiser. Moto colleagues and customers were generous with their time and donations, and it was great to be able to support Help for Heroes on site again.”
MITC made its’ annual donation to Help for Heroes at the start of the year – giving £100,000. This took total giving to £2.9 million since the partnership began in 2012. These funds will enable Help for Heroes to continue delivering life-changing support, both digitally and in the community, including one-to-one support for veterans and their loved ones for issues related to their physical and mental health and welfare.
